- About me: Jane. 21. I really have no idea how long i've been doing this, but I started in the GJ era and continued on (and off) from there. I used to do comms, but now I'm strictly psl. I am a female, eastern time, college student, anything else just ask.
- Genre: Strictly PB. Celeb isn't my thing, neither is fandom. I will faux-celeb, meaning i can base my character off of a celebrity's history (i can also do the same for fandom), but I do like to have full control over their personality/development and such.
- Writing Style: 3rd person storybook, as usual. Does anyone out there actually write in the first or 2nd person? That's probably beside the point. I am only doing threads at the moment. Aim is far too temperamental, and I never remember to save chats. Also I like using icons, not gonna lie.
-Technical Stuff: In terms of length, I'll be the first to admit that i'm not an incredibly long-winded writer. I prefer to get in 2 or 3 shorter tags a day, than to have one 1,000 word essay a day. I'm not totally against the occasional one-liner, but keep in mind that I give what I receive. I'm also fairly lax about spelling and grammar, but obviously proofreading and spellcheck would be nice. Another thing I'm big on is variation of interaction, meaning that faux twitter posts, voicemails, phonecalls, e-mails, are also savvy, in addition to regular old sceneing.
-Relationship Guidelines: In terms of sex scenes, I just don't do them. We're all old enough to assume what happens. On that note, I strictly write het. I've never been interested in slash and femme.
- General Character Info: Ethnic/minority characters are my bread and butter. They are the easiest for me to write, however I will play a character of ANY background and prefer a variety. My preference usually goes to playing males, because it's more of a challenge, but I will also play females, depending on the line. Writers that play both are LOVE, because I do enjoy being able to vary traditional gender roles. Also, obscure pb's are the best. Me play Rpatz or Kstew? Naaaaaah. (Taylor Lautner, maybe!) The only pb's I won't consider are those that are deceased.
- THEMES I DIG: domestics (marriage, family, babysitting, adopted kids, etc.), organized crime, long distance, opposites (boss/employee, older/younger, rich/not so rich, good/evil, interracial relations), extraordinary people in ordinary circumstances, breakups, humor/comedy, musicians, misinterpretations of fate, putting a spin on classic fairytales - THEMES I DON'T DIG: pregnancy/baby mama lines, supernatural/paranormal, rape, incest, haunted house/serial killer types of things, historical time periods
- Etc: Planning and communication are key. I will not come up with the entire plot on my own, regardless of whether the original idea was mine or yours. While "organic lines" are nice in theory, I personally need to have a strong foundation before I go diving into sceneing, because I don't want to risk losing direction. I consider lines to be dead after not hearing from you for 3 weeks. I have no problem with discussing lines regardless of ooc history, because I really don't care enough to hold grudges.
